Gem Connoisseur Sanjay Kasliwal's Sketches Brought To Life With New 'Bloom' Collection

The Kasliwal brand name is often known to be the Indian equivalent of what Cartier is in the luxury jewellery world. The Kasliwal family runs the infamous Gem Palace in Jaipur which has served the royals since 1852.

The late jewellery designer Sanjay Kasliwal is one of the three brothers who make for the seventh generation of the regal family, founded his own label in 2014.

After his passing, his children Samir and Shalini took the reigns of his business in order to make his dream come true.

With this intent in mind, they created the ‘Bloom’ collection based on sketches they discovered in their fathers office.

Sanjay was inspired by the beauty, sight and sounds of his hometown, Jaipur. This inspiration was channelled in to creating the most exquisite collection using colourful designs and Rajasthan’s colourful flora and fauna.

His daughter, Shalini overlooks the business in New York and came together to work with her brother on this collection, who handles the operations in Jaipur.

Striking the perfect balance between modern and traditional, the ‘Bloom’ collection features a 26-piece range which are inspired by the infamous City Palace, the archway of Amer Fort and the gorgeous Tecomella trees that encompass the Thar Desert.

You will find a unique collection of bejewelled earrings, necklaces, sets, rings made with the most beautiful materials like Zambian emeralds, Tahitian pearls, Sri Lankan sapphires and Mozambican rubies.

It also features some statement pieces like the ‘Udaya’ and ‘Harshika’ necklace which is a set of emerald beads with floral earrings and 1000 carats of rubellites with pearls. The variant shapes and sizes make these pieces stand out from the rest.
