Antar-Agni Designer Brand Opens Its First Flagship Store in Kolkata

Antar-Agni by designer Ujjawal Dubey has been a favourite for its nonconformist, ungendered silhouettes and gorgeous fabrics since 2014.

This well-known brand has established its first store in Kolkata.

Antar-Agni is located on Sarat Bose Road in a 900-square-foot space that exudes a charming vintage atmosphere. In keeping with the brand's identity, this space is designed with a minimalist monolithic look while maintaining the traditional colonial atmosphere of the space, juxtaposing two points of view to create a design emblematic of the brand's most cherished silhouettes.

Ujjawal Dubey says of the space,

"I adore how Kolkata has preserved its old-world charm while remaining firmly rooted in the twenty-first century. When conceiving of this establishment, I wished to incorporate the relationship between time and space. Minimalism meets old world appeal in the space's tiny details, such as the original mosaic tiles from the building that serve as a base for more eclectic pieces, such as an Origami serpent light that arcs along the ceiling."

The space is organised around a central room that divides into smaller personal spaces via limestone-arched doorways, transforming the area into thrilling avenues. 

The store launches with a made-for-Kolkata, limited edition festive release. The collection utilises black, white, and grey monotones.
