A HUGE Auction Literally!! 10 Feet Tall Gorgosaurus Skeleton To Be Auctioned At Sotheby's New York on July 28

Sotheby's is auctioning off a 10 feet tall and 22 feet long skeleton of a Gorgosaurus dinosaur for the first time. The auction GIGANTIC auction will be conducted on July 28, 2022 in New York. According to sources, it is projected to fetch between USD five million and USD eight million.

The 76 million-year-old skeleton of the T-Rexes close relative Gorgosaurus was unearthed in 2018 in the Judith River Formation in Havre, Montana. The Gorgosaurus displays a distinctive huge skull with prominent fangs, a characteristic long tail, two big rear, and two tiny frontal limbs. Estimated between $5 and $8 million, the spectacular skeleton is the focus of Sotheby's live Natural History auction planned to take place on July 28th, 2022.

Apart from Gorgosaurus, the Geek Week Sales will also offer a defining document of America as we know it today, a copy of Virginia's formal ratification of the United States Constitution, and two proposed amendments. Estimated between $3 and $5 million, one of just three surviving copies signed by the President and Secretary of the Convention will be auctioned off the Books & Manuscript sale on July 21st, 2022.
