The Melia Collection Set to Debut in Lima's Historic Heart

Lima, Peru, August 2025 – Meliá Hotels International is making a distinguished entry into Peru's luxury hospitality market with the signing of its first-ever The Meliá Collection hotel in Lima. Situated in the city's UNESCO-listed historic centre, this boutique property exudes cultural heritage and timeless elegance-marking a milestone in the brand's Latin American expansion.

The hotel will rise on the iconic site of Casa de la Pila, once home to intellectual salons, early journalism, and centuries of local lore. Nestled close to the Plaza de Armas, Lima Cathedral, and the Government Palace, the location itself is steeped in rich stories.

The hotel's rollout will be phased:

  • Phase 1 (July 2026) will debut with 61 exquisite rooms.
  • Phase 2 (July 2027) will complete the vision with a total of 107 rooms.

Managed by Meliá in partnership with Peruvian owners Hoteles Bera (Bernui-Tarazona and Ramos-Bernui families), the hotel will also feature a bespoke cultural programme celebrating Lima's vibrant artistic and culinary heritage-offering guests immersive experiences that resonate with the city's soul.
