The Brilliant Leica D-Lux 7 007 Special Edition Compact Camera Launched in Sync With an Exhibition of Iconic Bond Photos in London

The Leica D-Lux 7 007 Special Edition Compact Camera & Photographs from the James Bond Archive

Michael G. Wilson, in honour of the 60th anniversary of James Bond films, has opened EON's photography library for an exhibition of iconic Bond photos. The show "Photographs from the James Bond Archive" is on display at Leica Gallery London until March 21, 2023. This exhibition coincides with the release of the exquisite, rare Leica D-Lux 7 007 Edition special edition compact camera.

The limited special edition of the Leica D-Lux 7 has an attractive appearance and a variety of rare accessories. A high-performance plastic with a delicate rhombus design forms the camera's trim. The top plate has the well-known 007 emblem. Moreover, the 007 Edition includes a shoulder holster. The leather holster enables the camera to be carried securely and quickly. The handgrip and wrist strap provide safe holding, while the lens cap with the distinctive "gun barrel" design opens automatically when the camera is turned on.

With its big image sensor and fast lens – the Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9-34 f/1.7-2.8 ASPH (35mm equivalent: 24 – 75mm) – the Leica D-Lux 7 offers exceptional picture quality in a small body.

In tribute to the James Bond film series, which debuted in 1962 with the release of Dr. No, the Leica D-Lux 7 007 Edition is limited to 1,962 pieces. The package will be available today at Leica Shops, the Leica Internet Store, and authorised dealers worldwide in a specially designed presentation box (23rd February 2023). The suggested retail price, including VAT, is 1,990 EUR.
