Hyatt Aims to Touch 10K Keys in India
In its 40th year of operations in India, Hyatt plans to have 50 Hyatt-branded properties in the country by the end of 2023, in addition to surpassing the 10,000-key mark.
In India, the chain operates 41 hotels under eight brands with over 8,500 rooms. In July of 2023, Hyatt will launch its global JdV by Hyatt brand in India.
Key openings for Hyatt in 2023 include the Hyatt Centric Rajpur Road Dehradun, Hyatt Centric Hebbal, Bangalore, Hyatt Centric Ballygunge, Kolkata, Hyatt Regency Cochin Malayatoor Resort, Hyatt Place Bodh Gaya, Hyatt Place Goa Candolim, and the JdV by Hyatt-operated Ronil Resort Goa.
Hyatt Place Haridwar, Hyatt Place MD-India & South West Aisa, Hyatt India Consultancy Vijaywada, Hyatt Regency Kasauli, and Hyatt Regency Ghazayabad are among the 2024 projects.
In 2022, 9 Hyatt hotels opened, a record for a single year.
The current Southwest Asia portfolio of Hyatt comprises 43 properties (41 in India and 2 in Nepal) across eight brands.
