Maharashtrian Comfort Food Takes Centre Stage at Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad

A Four-Night Culinary Pop-Up Celebrating Maharashtra's Soulful Flavours

Hyderabad welcomes 2026 with the unmistakable warmth of home-style Maharashtrian cooking, served against a refined, rooftop setting. Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad hosts an exclusive four-day dinner pop-up at Mazzo, spotlighting authentic regional flavours curated by Pune-based home chef Swati Mawlankar.

From Pune Kitchens to Hyderabad Plates

Making her debut appearance in the city, Swati Mawlankar brings with her a reputation built on tradition, patience, and precision - especially known for her handcrafted modaks during Ganesh Chaturthi back home in Pune. Her menu is less about reinvention and more about reverence—comfort food prepared the way Maharashtrian families have enjoyed it for generations.

A Menu Rooted in Regional Comfort

The experience opens with beloved classics - sabudana vada, kothimbir vadi, batata vada - alongside nostalgic favourites such as bakarwadi, kachori, and fiery green thecha.

Vegetarian highlights include wholesome matki usal and delicately spiced bharli vangi, while non-vegetarian selections bring depth and heat with Kolhapuri-style chicken and mutton, complemented by Konkani prawns. Each is served with masala bhath and refreshing koshimbir raita - balanced, hearty, and unmistakably Maharashtrian.

Live Counters, Home-Style Energy

Adding a layer of theatre and authenticity, live counters dish out freshly made thalipeeth and pithla-bhakri - simple staples that define everyday comfort in Maharashtrian homes. The emphasis remains on warmth, freshness, and that unmistakable "ghar ka khana" feeling.

Desserts That Define the Festival Spirit

No Maharashtrian feast is complete without indulgent desserts. Guests can look forward to puran poli, steamed modaks, shrikhand paired with poori, and orange burfi, bringing festive Ganesh Chaturthi flavours into the new year.

A Limited-Edition Culinary Experience

Available for just four evenings, this pop-up is a rare opportunity for Hyderabad's diners to experience true Maharashtrian comfort food, crafted with care, served with pride, and elevated by the setting of Mazzo Rooftop Bar.
