HENNESSY PARADIS x LORENZ BAUMER

In honour of the NBA's 75th anniversary, Hennessy offers Paradis in one of the most innovative and technically demanding carafes ever created: a basketball-shaped Baccarat crystal decanter designed by the famous Lorenz Baumer.

Maison Hennessy honours the greatest professional basketball league in the world with a limited, numbered carafe made by the famous jeweller of Place Vendôme, Lorenz Baumer.

The Paradis x NBA decanter is fashioned from mouth-blown, hand-faceted Baccarat crystal to resemble a genuine basketball. The faceted surface design of the 1.75-liter spherical carafe enhances the coppery reflections of the cognac inside.

In 1979, Hennessy Paradis was developed by Master Blender Maurice Fillioux. The elegant cognac was constructed of the rarest, most supple eaux-de-vie stored in old wood barrels in the Chai Paradis cellar, which is where Hennessy's greatest vintages are held.

Lorenz Baumer envisioned a sculptural decanter that combined the exhilaration of basketball, the poetry of Paradis, and the radiance of a diamond. The jeweller was able to achieve his idea with the assistance of the skilled artisans at Baccarat, the venerable crystal manufacturer that, like Maison Hennessy, was established in the 18th century, during the reign of King Louis XV.

Each and every Paradis x NBA carafe is a one-of-a-kind treasure. The basketball's treads are hand-gilded, and its opening is equipped with a golden key as finishing touches.

The orange leather cube-shaped case of the 75-piece limited edition Paradis x NBA carafe is a distinctive design. This completely articulated design, also created by Lorenz Baumer, is adorned with gold marks following the basketball's lines. It doubles as a trophy case when opened, displaying a signed and numbered plaque with a gold finish. In addition, there are two Baccarat-crafted balloon glasses, an arched fusil, and a unique golden key that unlocks both the carafe and its coffret.
