Audi Anticipates Record Sales of Luxury Automobiles in India in 2023

Record Sales of Audi Expected in India in 2023

New Delhi:

German luxury carmaker Audi, predicts record sales in the Indian luxury vehicle market this year, fueled by economic development and greater inter-city mobility due to the fast expanding highway network. And it is expected to reach one million units by the end of the decade.

Audi India confirmed that electric vehicles will play a significant role in generating new demand as new models and a surge in charging infrastructure-which is being developed by automakers and private operators-will attract more and more customers to green mobility.

As per Audi India, there is a significant demand for luxury automobiles, and the luxury car company anticipates this to continue this year as sales will surpass the previous record of about 41,000 units (2022 sales were over 38,000 units).

Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Lexus, Volvo, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, and Bentley are among the leading vehicle manufacturers in the country's luxury automobile market.

Audi's sales increased by 27% in 2022 compared to 2021, when the business sold 3,291 vehicles. In 2022, the firm sold 4,187 vehicles, compared to 3,291 in 2021. Dhillon said that the numbers may have been higher, but supply were limited owing to shortages, which included those of semiconductors.

Even as it reintroduces some of its most formidable models, like as the Q3, which was released in the middle of last year, the business continues to have a substantial backlog of orders for delivery. We anticipate double-digit growth this year if business conditions remain favourable.
