Atmosphere Core to Debut in Odisha's Eastern Ghats with Luxury Resort at Chandragiri

Pratyaksh - An Atmosphere Experience Chandragiri to Open in 2027

Bhubaneswar, 20 September 2025 — Atmosphere Core, in collaboration with Pratyaksh Estates Private Limited, proudly announces its foray into the picturesque Eastern Ghats of Odisha with the launch of PRATYAKSH – An Atmosphere Experience Chandragiri. Slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2027, this boutique luxury resort will be set amidst the serene valleys of Chandragiri, close to the revered Jirang Buddhist Monastery.

Elevating Odisha's Hospitality Landscape

Speaking on the expansion, Mr. Salil Panigrahi, Founder & Group Managing Director of Atmosphere Core, said: "India's scenic hill stations with cultural depth are integral to our growth strategy. This resort near Jirang Monastery not only reflects our design philosophy but also puts Chandragiri firmly on the global tourism map."

Ms. Divyasnata Mohanty, Managing Director of Pratyaksh Estates, added: "Chandragiri, fondly known as the Mini Tibet of India, is a treasure trove of culture and natural beauty. With Atmosphere Core's unmatched expertise, we are creating a sanctuary of sophistication and authenticity that will redefine luxury in Odisha."

The Resort: A Sanctuary of Culture and Comfort

Operating under the signature "An Atmosphere Experience" sub-brand, the resort will feature 90 thoughtfully designed keys, including:

  • Luxury cottages, suites, and tents
  • Exclusive villas with panoramic views of the Eastern Ghats and Jirang Monastery

Guests can indulge in:

  • Curated dining experiences: all-day dining with outdoor seating, a speciality restaurant blending Indian and Tibetan flavours, a chic themed bar, and a bakery-lounge with a library.
  • Wellness: the award-winning ELE|NA Ayur Spa, yoga and meditation decks overlooking the mountains, and serene therapy spaces.
  • Events & Celebrations: flexible indoor venues, sprawling lawns, and elegant boardrooms ideal for weddings, retreats, and conferences.
  • Immersive experiences: outdoor activities, nature trails, and cultural engagements reflecting Chandragiri's heritage.

Destination Chandragiri – The Mini Tibet of India

Located approximately 250 km from Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam, Chandragiri is home to the magnificent Jirang Buddhist Monastery, inaugurated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 2010. With its Tibetan architecture, vibrant murals, golden stupa, and prayer wheels, it is one of Eastern India's largest monasteries.

The region also enchants with its rolling hills, verdant landscapes, Khasada Waterfall, and the mystical aura of the Eastern Ghats — making it one of India's most inspiring yet undiscovered luxury destinations. This development adds to the most awaited luxury hotels that are set to redefine hospitality experiences.

Mr. Souvagya Mohapatra, Managing Director of Atmosphere Core for India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan, concluded: "Southern Odisha's timeless charm and cultural depth make it a natural choice for Atmosphere Core. Our Chandragiri resort is designed to become an iconic landmark of luxury hospitality in the region."
