Yooxygen, The Yoox Platform For Sustainability To Host U.K. Fashion for a Sustainable Future Pop-Up Gallery

This is surely very good news for the world sustainable fashion.

The United Kingdom's Department for International Trade in Italy has partnered with the Italian online fashion retail giant Yoox to introduce a digital pop-up gallery of British sustainable fashion brands.

This one time project will commence from 30th September 2021 and last till 31st December 2021 and will be called 'U.K. Fashion for a Sustainable Future Pop-Up Gallery'.
The Yoox platform created for sustainable products and aptly named as Yooxygen will run this unique project. The participating brands although different in terms of sizes, origins, etc. have one major commonality amongst them; that of being truly dedicated to sustainability. Their target audience is the next generation that is truly awake to the sustainable way of life.

The gallery happens to be a part of The Road to COP26 program of events being conducted at U.K. House Villa Necchi Campiglio from 29th September 2021 to 1st October 2021. It is also a part of the official All4Climate Italy 2021 program encouraged by the Italian Ministry for Ecological Transition.

There is no doubt that this unique program will set an example for the way a collaboration of a global scale can materialize between a global luxury e-commerce platform and a government for a highly noble and relevant cause that can positively impact the buying pattern of young consumers across the world.

Critical factors like innovation, design and manufacture to ensure product longevity, enabling repair, reuse and recycling, sustainable use of natural resources, least wastage and emissions, regenerating ecosystems, sustainable supply chains, and creation of sustainable and socially inclusive business models, in accordance with national priorities and policies have been taken into consideration while shortlisting the sustainable fashion brands for this program.

Alighieri, Bottletop, Finisterre, Jo Gordon, Ninety Percent, The Jacksons, Toms, and Vivienne Westwood are the 8 sustainable fashion brands from Britain shortlisted together by YOOX and Marina Iremonger, who happens to be the head of the creative, consumer and retail team of the Department for International Trade in Italy.
