Wheels and Waves Festival 2023 in Biarritz, France Was Amazingly Unique

Wheels and Waves is a one-of-a-kind festival that commemorates freedom, adventure, and the world of motorcycle culture, surf, skate, music, and art.

The festival's philosophy is based on a lifestyle that includes motorcycling, surfing, skateboarding, and various forms of artistic expression, which has made it a global showcase for the custom culture revival.

The 12th iteration of the festival was held from June 21 to June 25, 2023. The event's primary headquarters was the Village W&W at Cité de l'Océan in Biarritz.

As a multisport event, it encompassed five days between France and Spain and featured several distinctive activities, including the Hit the Deck Skate Contest, the Duo Log Surf Contest, the ArtRide Exhibition, the Punk's Peak Sprint Race, the WAW Vintage Rally Enduro, and The Race of the Lords.

Wheels and Waves also exhibited a collection of ready-to-wear clothing inspired by vintage motorcycle racing apparel, sports and the festival's philosophy. This clothing line emphasised originality, durability, and aesthetics, and was predominantly manufactured in Europe with an emphasis on local, short-cycle production.

In addition, Wheels and Waves featured WW TV, a platform where users could explore past editions of the festival through the eyes of videographers, catch a glimpse of their Grizzly Ride Out – a traditional end-of-winter event where the Wheels and Waves family rides through breathtaking landscapes – and participate in other festival-related adventures.
