The Stunning Lamborghini Urus Performante Marks its World Premiere With a Bang in Rome

Sunday, October 20, 2022, Sant'Agata Bolognese/Rome

Lamborghini Urus Performante has made its global debut in Rome's Autodromo Vallelunga in front of journalists and dealers from all around the globe. The new Performante model of the Urus Super SUV has once again shown its brilliance in its home country, setting a new official benchmark for production SUVs on Pikes Peak by finishing 17 seconds faster than the previous record holder.

Urus Performante raises the bar in every respect. With its innovative lightweight and aerodynamic design, chassis setup, and aggressive driving characteristics thanks to specific drive mode calibration—including a new Rally mode exclusive to the Urus Performante—it achieves the best weight-to-power ratio in its segment. The Urus Performante can go from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.3 seconds, has a top speed of 306 km/h, and generates 850 Nm of torque at just 2,300 rpm.

Automobili Lamborghini brought the Urus Performante's driving debut back to Rome and Vallelunga, where the first Urus debuted in 2018 and ushered in a new category of Super SUV sales with over 21,000 units sold over the following four years with over 80% of buyers being new to the Lamborghini brand. A Super SUV model, the Urus S, was unveiled this month and debuted during the dramatic introduction of the Urus Performante this month for participating media and dealers.

In October 2022, visitors to the Urus Performante track event in Vallelunga, Italy, were able to test out the new Super SUV's increased performance and characteristics on the track as well as drive it on a rally circuit designed to highlight the vehicle's enjoyable nature and capability on rough ground. The Urus Performante rides on Pirelli tyres no matter the weather or terrain. The SUV utilises P Zero tyres on its 20", 22", and 23" wheels, as well as a new semi-slick track-oriented P Zero Trofeo R option developed by Pirelli in collaboration with Lamborghini.

Beginning at the Stadio dei Marmi, where sixty marble sculptures honour athletics, the Urus Performante then proceeded to the streets and sites of Rome for photographs and filming, where it adorned the aristocratic streets surrounding Palazzo Fendi and displayed its genuine off-road prowess on the soft quarry surfaces of the rarest, purest, and most coveted marble in the Cave di Travertino.

In this case, the Lamborghini Urus Performante Super SUV was unveiled on Appia Antica, one of eight ancient pathways from the most important areas and ports that converge in Italy's capital.
