The New TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronograph is One-Of-A-Kind

TAG Heuer has brought back its renowned Monza watch.

The new TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronometer is a limited edition watch with a 42-mm carbon casing that is ultra-lightweight and durable.

The dial of the new model is black and has a two-register layout with a chronograph counter at 3 o'clock and a second hand at 6 o'clock. The skeletonized dial displays the underlying mechanism. The blue luminous date display at 9 o'clock is a first for TAG Heuer, and Super-LumiNova® is applied to the blue lacquered indexes and black and white lacquered hours and minutes hands to improve legibility in low light.

The TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronometer is powered with the in-house, COSC-accredited Calibre Heuer 02 Flyback chronograph movement. The flyback feature of the black DLC steel pushbuttons allows the chronograph to be reset without halting. Previously unique to the TAG Heuer Autavia in the modern line, this feature provides even faster and more accurate timekeeping.

The watch includes three essential functions for a racing driver in action: a chronograph, a tachymeter scale that indicates average speed for a 1-kilometer or 1-mile distance, as shown on the black flange, and a pulsometer that calculates one's heart rate per minute. This function is triggered by the blue line calibrated to 15 heartbeats per minute in the top right quadrant of the dial. After 15 heartbeats, when the user pauses the chronograph, he gets his own readout. The pulsometer has a range between 60 and 200 beats per minute.

Red highlights on the dial, including the sub-counter hands and the frame surrounding the date window, represent thrilling speed and thumping hearts. Against the black dial and case, the vibrant blue indexes, second hand, and stitching on the distinctive textile strap stand out.
