Sun, Style & Stepwells - Saaksha & Kinni Light Up Lakme Fashion Week with MYRAH

A Landmark Moment for Fashion

As Lakmé Fashion Week celebrates 25 years of iconic style, design duo Saaksha & Kinni mark the milestone with a soulful, sun-drenched collection titled ‘Myrah’, created in collaboration with Lakmé Sun Expert. This collection isn't just a fashion moment - it’s a poetic homage to heritage and modernity, rooted in timeless Indian craftsmanship.

Inspired by the Adalaj Stepwell

The majestic Adalaj Stepwell in Gujarat - once built to quench the thirst of a parched region - serves as the muse for Myrah. From this architectural marvel spring geometric patterns, fluid lines, and rich cultural narratives. Intricate floral motifs bloom across bold statement prints, layered with Saaksha & Kinni’s signature micro-pleating and powerful silhouettes.

The colour story reflects a sun-kissed journey: burnt oranges, sandstone browns, saffron yellows, deep reds, watery blues, and vivid purples—each shade telling a story of earth, water, and celebration. Breezy chiffons, cooling cottons, soft crepes, and supple satins flow alongside lycra swimwear and canvas jackets—redefining the modern summer wardrobe.

Whether it’s an ethereal kaftan, a fluid wrap dress, or an artfully tailored jacket, every piece in Myrah channels ease, versatility, and confidence. The collection speaks to women who embrace the sun, the spirit of movement, and their own sense of style—making this a perfect reflection of Lakmé Sun Expert’s "embrace the sun" philosophy.

“Fashion is about confidence, and so is great skincare. We wanted to make SPF not just functional, but iconic - just like the women we design for.”

Commanding attention as the showstopper, Bollywood star Ishaan Khatter brought charisma and cool to the ramp. He was joined by an ensemble of diverse icons: Ayesha Kanga, Sakshi Sindhwani, Aisha Ahmed, Chum Darang, and Rida Tharana - each making a powerful style statement, each redefining the runway on their own terms.

A Fitting Celebration In the end, Myrah wasn’t just a collection. It was a conversation - between past and present, skin and sun, tradition and rebellion. A celebration of beauty in all its forms, stitched into the fabric of Lakmé Fashion Week’s silver jubilee.
