Sudha Reddy is a Royal VIP Guest at The Qatar Goodwood Festival in England

Hyderabad, August of 2023:

This week, the esteemed Qatar Goodwood Festival was held in England. Sudha Reddy of the MEIL Group, a billionaire philanthropist and business luminary from Hyderabad, made an impact once again.

The invitation to the elite horse racing event and grand gala was extended to the fashion colossus, Reddy, by the iconic Italian jewellery brand Buccellati and the Duke and Duchess of Richmond. Reddy is widely admired by global luxury fashion houses from around the globe.

Her appearance signified her philanthropic support for the Markel Magnolia Cup - Education Above All's; Educate A Child initiative, which aims to empower thousands of young girls and women to surmount significant obstacles in their lives. Two and a half billion British pounds were raised at the event for a project in Malawi that provides education and support to children.

As part of her excursion, she also attended the Regency Ball held at Goodwood House, the residence of the Duke and Duchess, and was given the new Assouline-edited Buccellati Memoire des Marques book as a gift. Reddy witnessed a candlelit horse race as well as other once-in-a-lifetime events at the exclusive gala

Reddy chose 'couturier to the royals' Manav Gangwani to outfit her for the event. For the races, she wore a custom-made, dusty-pink, two-piece ensemble with hand-embroidery. Her formal gown featured a structured corset and deep navy hues. It featured intricate detailing, opulent fabrics, and enduring elegance, and was a real head-turner! Reddy was accessorised by Buccellati with a necklace made of white and yellow gold, set with diamonds, that took over two years to create and was a handcrafted masterpiece.

The Qatar Goodwood Festival is one of the season's undisputed landmarks in British flat racing. The five-day festival is a sporting and social event unlike any other, attracting many of the world's most exceptional racehorses to compete for millions of pounds in prize money and Group race honours. Outside of the track, unparalleled elegance, spectacular entertainment, and exquisite hospitality experiences complement the exhilarating racing action.

When: The event was held from Tuesday, August 1, to Saturday, August 5, 2023.

Price: Three Group 1 races, including the £500,000 Qatar Goodwood Cup, £1,000,000 Qatar Sussex Stakes, and £600,000 Qatar Nassau Stakes, dominated the week.
