Museum of the Future Adds Another Shining Pearl to Dubai's Glowing Crown

A diverse range of experiences for all

Dubai is a worldwide metropolis that has seen several remarkable and landmark developments. Dubai has it everything, from the world's tallest structure, the Burj Khalifa, to the world's deepest pool and largest fountain. Museum of the Future is another resplendent feather in Dubai's shining crown.

Museum of the Future, recently inaugurated in Dubai, is totally powered by solar energy and features over 1,000 robot-created artworks.

The Insider's Guide to Dubai's Museum of the Future

The museum, which is next to the Emirates Towers on Sheikh Zayed Road, is designed to transport visitors to a world 50 years in the future. The exhibitions' purpose is to highlight next-generation technologies in artificial intelligence, space exploration, and augmented reality that have the potential to improve the world.

Three levels are devoted to immersive displays on subjects ranging from space resource development to ecosystems and bioengineering to health and well-being. 

Virtual to physical & beyond

Take a stroll through Leticia's beautiful Amazon jungles. The Heal Institute's interactive display teaches visitors about their ecological stewardship. Time travel with OSS Hope, a programme that transports viewers to a massive space station in the year 2071. 

Reconnect with yourself

Al Waha allows you to escape into a world centred on your well-being and reconnect with yourself in a world devoid of technology. There are 50 of these exhibitions, which cover topics such as waste management, the environment, food security, agriculture and irrigation, and urban planning. 

Children will love thisFuture Heroes is a play environment for children under the age of ten that encourages them to learn about themselves and their surroundings.

The museum, which was designed by Shaun Kill of Kill Design, spans a massive 3,23,000 square feet and took 18 months to create using computer-aided design and engineering. 

Harnessing The power of the Sun

The museum is totally powered by solar energy, which is supplied annually by 4,000 megawatt-hours from a specialised solar park.

It is made of stainless steel and fibreglass and has 1,024 pieces of art created entirely by robots. Nearly 14,000 metres of light lines illuminate the area and the calligraphic panels with statements from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the UAE's Vice President and Prime Minister.

Brilliantly Interactive

The museum has a lecture theatre for interactive sessions and seminars, as well as a permanent display showcasing future inventions and laboratories for idea generation and testing, especially in developing fields.
