Luxury Indian Wear In The Heart Of Mumbai

Arpita Mehta’s colourful Indian wear and glittering handiwork have found its home in amidst the hustling and bustling city of Mumbai. Situated in the heart of this city, at Khar is her first flagship store. The showroom has an aura around it that drives you back to cottages of the bygone era.

It exhibits peace and has an old charm to it. The gateway is entwined with green trees, and the location couldn’t be any better. The store is just around the corner for the workshop where the beautiful dresses are created. With a massive facade on the outside, the store gives a sense of calm.

The showroom is painted in a dusty pink colour which gels well with the greens around it. The flooring of this is terrazzo tiles which will take you back to the holidays in Mykonos’ island comfort. To accentuate this feeling, this store has made use of its nooks and corner to create mid-century furniture-  the cane chairs, a plush velvet couch, and beautiful rugs that will make you feel like you are in Arpita’s house discussing your closet needs. If anything were left, you’d also spot silverware to add a touch of intimacy. Keeping it minimal with the colours and furniture, the attention is taken to the stunning garments prepared by Arpita.

The comfortable balance between space and design makes this retail store a serene exploration of luxury. The Architect Ravi Vazirani took an effort to build this balance of minimalism with a sense of luxury.

The store launched on 5th November 2020 and featured some of the iconic dresses by Arpit Mehta. Her jacket dresses, Ghaghra, lehengas and a new collection called Meadaura were featured in this opening.
