Spanning 42,000 sq. ft., the new restaurant, bar and brewery combines immersive architecture, communal dining, craft beers and live entertainment.
Bengaluru, 26 October 2026:
Koko Samba, a new 42,000 sq. ft. restaurant, bar and brewery, has opened in Brookefield, Bengaluru, introducing a distinctive dining and social destination centred on community, connection and shared experiences. Located on ITPL Main Road, the venue accommodates up to 750 guests and brings together food, drinks, music and performance within an immersive, nature-inspired setting.
The opening adds to a city already known for inventive hospitality, from Fireside igniting Bangalore's culinary scene with flame-craft cuisine to Levels Pub & Kitchen Bangalore going global with an exotic Asian menu.
A Concept Built Around Belonging
Built around the idea of belonging, Koko Samba invites guests into a world with its own identity, language and rituals. The name combines Koko, representing cacao earth, and Samba, a dance associated with rhythm and movement. Together, they reflect the venue's philosophy of bringing people together through food, music and the simple pleasure of gathering.
The experience is designed to evolve throughout the evening. Guests can enjoy shared plates, seven beers brewed on site, music and live performances, alongside quieter moments of conversation. Positioned between the energy of a brewery and the intimacy of a cocktail bar, Koko Samba aims to create an atmosphere where guests feel comfortable staying longer and returning often. Similar craft beer and cocktail energy can be found at Drifters Cafe & Bar, Bandra's finest bohemian-themed address.
Tribal-Inspired Architecture by AR Abhigyan Neogi
Designed by architect AR Abhigyan Neogi, the interiors draw inspiration from tribal environments, tropical landscapes and indigenous craftsmanship. Natural materials such as bamboo, cane, thatch, stone and wood are combined with woven textures, handcrafted lighting and tribal-inspired detailing to create a richly layered environment. Nature-led restaurant design is gaining recognition in India, as seen when the biophilic design of Tsuki Restaurant in Pune earned global recognition.
The architecture incorporates the four elements of water, fire, air and earth. Sculptural rock formations, a dramatic water body with a water-wheel feature, tropical greenery and organic bamboo structures give the venue its distinctive character. Statues, artwork and select furniture sourced from different parts of the world add depth to the setting, creating the impression of a place shaped by its own history.
Rather than presenting tribal influences as surface decoration, the design integrates them into the walls, ceilings, columns, screens and furniture. The result is a contemporary hospitality space that balances natural textures with carefully considered architectural details.
What the Founders Say
"Koko Samba was never meant to be a place you simply come to. We wanted to create a place that people feel they belong to. The fire, the food, the drinks, the music and every detail of the space are there to bring people together and make them feel like they are part of something. You may walk in as a guest, but the idea is that you leave as one of us," says Praneeth Duttuluri, Co-Founder, Koko Samba.
"Koko Samba is built around the idea of creating more than just a restaurant and bar. We wanted to create a space with its own identity, where food, drinks, music and design come together to create an experience that feels natural, welcoming and memorable. At its heart, Koko Samba is about bringing people together and creating a place they want to return to," says Mani Sankar Duttuluri, Co-Founder, Koko Samba.
Location and Social Scene
Situated in Bengaluru's bustling IT corridor and close to Kundalahalli Metro, Koko Samba is positioned to attract professionals, residents and groups looking for a distinctive dining and entertainment experience. Its expansive layout accommodates both lively celebrations and relaxed social gatherings.
The city's nightlife is increasingly shaped by bar programming and music, from BANG Bar at The Ritz-Carlton hosting Comorin's showstopping cocktail takeover to electrifying beats and stunning views with DJ Rohit Barker at BANG. Bar takeovers have also drawn crowds, including two of the world's best bars coming together at Copitas and Panda & Sons taking over Copitas at Four Seasons Bengaluru.
Elsewhere in India, venues such as Tattva Bar & Cafe, a feast for the senses, BUSTLE, the newest restaurant in Mumbai serving amazing drinks and Gimlet Garden at AER, a botanical escape in the sky show how design-led social spaces are reshaping the category. For a livelier evening format, see Dixon live in Mumbai, the ultimate afterparty at Four Seasons, and for craft cocktails, seven days of surreal cocktail experiences at AER, Mumbai.
With its combination of immersive design, freshly brewed beers, communal dining and entertainment, Koko Samba introduces a new social space to Brookefield, placing the experience of gathering at the centre of its hospitality concept.
