Giorgio Armani To Launch A Collection Of Luxury Watches In Partnership With Parmigiani Fleurier

Italy’s esteemed fashion house and designer Giorgio Armani is working on his line of high-end watches in collaboration with Swiss watchmakers, Michel Parmigiani, which is all set to be released at the end of next year.

In today’s day and age, multiple brands have tried their hands at creating timepieces with a varied range of materials, while always being mindful of developing pieces that are less expensive than their collection of apparel, with top brands like Versace and Fendi to list a few.

While these brands used quartz movements to fit into their budgeting and designs, high-end luxury brands like Chanel and Hermes tapped into the expensive side of watch making by seeking help from Swiss-experts to create these timeless pieces.

Giorgio Armani being a watch aficionado, is completely invested in the process of creation and is looking to create only a limited number of designer watches, which stands by the essence of this unique and contemporary collaboration.

Davide Traxler, CEO of Parmigiani shares how both these esteemed creatives have more in common than it would seem. They both have their roots in Milan. While Parmigiani’s parents hailed from Rome and the Dolomites, he spent his childhood growing up in the Swiss neighborhood, owing his creative design skills to his Italian heritage.

The collection of watches is said to be handmade and will be manufactured by the Parmigiani’s. While there are only a few details out about the designs of these watches, what we do know is that it will be very much in line with Armani’s simple and minimalistic appeal.

One can expect clean sophisticated designs in hues of navy blue and grey with steel or white gold dials. The collection is going to feature ready to wear pieces for both men and women.

While this collection of watches is only to be launched in November 2021, the reason behind announcing this launch so early on in time is with the intent to share more about the craftsmanship and experience of creating this line with their partners who may be interesting in creating high-end watches.

The Swiss watch-maker is to celebrate his 70th birthday next year and so it is clear that there will be an anniversary launch at some point, followed by the revel of this impending collection.
