German Fashion House Karl Lagerfeld Collaborates With Spanish Fashion Designer Archie M. Alled-Martinez to Launch a Gender-Neutral Collection

Karl Lagerfeld, the German fashion house, has announced a collaboration with Spanish fashion designer Archie M. Alled-Martinez on a gender-neutral collection. The line, which is scheduled to launch in June 2022, will honour the brand's Parisian aesthetic and Lagerfeld's vision through Alled-queer Martinez's lens.

According to Archie M. Alled-Martinez, this collection is a tribute to Karl Lagerfeld and thus to fashion. Karl's image, according to Archie, was highly colourful and crisp, and he desired to capture the iconic essence of it all.

The capsule will include ready-to-wear pieces and an accessories selection, with further details on the collection to be disclosed later this year.

Alled-Martinez will collaborate closely with Carine Roitfeld, Karl Lagerfeld's style advisor, and Hun Kim, the brand's design director, throughout the creative process.

According to Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of Karl Lagerfeld, this is an exciting partnership that showcases Karl's aesthetic and the huge effect he has had on fashion over the years, as well as being a special queer celebration of Karl's life.
