Dubai, 16 September 2025 – Atmosphere Core, the fast-rising hospitality group born in the Maldives, has signalled its next era of growth with a strong focus on global expansion. On 9–10 September, the brand gathered its top 30 leaders in Dubai for the annual Leadership Summit, setting the course for a future that looks beyond South Asia to new opportunities across Asia and Europe. This expansion strategy builds on the group's successful track record, including recent developments like Atmosphere Core's new brand initiatives.
Leadership Aligned on New Horizons
Over two intensive days, Atmosphere Core's senior leadership aligned on strategic priorities, reinforced collaboration, and embraced a progressive approach to hospitality. The agenda was clear: expand beyond the group's strongholds in the Maldives, India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal into new international destinations. This leadership development continues the trend seen with Atmosphere Core's recent leadership appointments.
"Global expansion is our new direction," said Salil Panigrahi, Managing Director of Atmosphere Core. "As global nomads, we carry with us the Joy of Giving philosophy, the spirit that defines our brands and people. Leadership is about knowing when to push with clear goals and when to pull by guiding and inspiring. Reliability builds trust, and emotional intelligence connects us to our teams and guests. These qualities will drive us as we extend our vision across continents."
Rapid Growth Since Inception
Founded in the Maldives just 12 years ago, Atmosphere Core has grown into a portfolio of nine private island resorts in the Maldives and one heritage hotel in India. The pipeline is equally ambitious, with 17 upcoming hotels across India and international projects in Italy, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, including the notable Borgo Monchiero Heritage in Italy.
In 2026 alone, the group is set to launch six new properties, underlining its commitment to strengthening its global footprint. Recent additions include luxury developments in Guwahati, showcasing the brand's commitment to diverse geographical expansion.
Redefining the All-Inclusive Experience
Atmosphere Core is credited with transforming the all-inclusive resort concept through its pioneering 'Holiday Plan', which redefined indulgence and personalization in the Indian Ocean hospitality market. This spirit of innovation continues to shape the group's approach as it enters new geographies. The success of this concept is evident in properties like OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI's all-inclusive offerings and OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi's Fushi Plan.
Commitment to Leadership & Hospitality Excellence
The Dubai Leadership Summit reaffirmed Atmosphere Core's dedication to building resilient teams, cultivating emotionally intelligent leaders, and delivering exceptional guest journeys. As the brand's expansion continues, its ethos of Joy of Giving will remain central—ensuring every destination offers a deeply personal and restorative experience. This commitment is reflected in the group's sustainability efforts, as seen with VARU by Atmosphere's sustainability initiatives and THE OZEN COLLECTION's eco-innovation leadership.
