Four Seasons Resort Maldives Landaa Giraavaru Enhances Arrival at Velana International Airport With The Flying Boxfish Seaplane & The Island Cafe

Four Seasons Resort Maldives, Landaa Giraavaru - Flying Boxfish Seaplane & Island Cafe

This year, visitors to Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru will enjoy the island nation's most elevated arrival experience, courtesy of two exceptional new additions:

The Flying Boxfish seaplane and The Island Café – a Landaa haven situated in the new Seaplane Terminal at Velana International Airport.

The Flying Boxfish is the second marine-inspired wonder to join Four Seasons' private aircraft fleet in the Maldives, after the 2019 debut of The Flying Triggerfish, which was inspired by Pablo Picasso.

The new customised 10-seater DHC-6-300 Twin Otter Flying Boxfish offers a remarkable choice for private seaplane transports from Velana International Airport to Landaa Giraavaru, an isolated Baa Atoll UNESCO Global Biosphere Reserve 35-minute flight from Malé.

International arrivals may now enjoy Four Seasons service at The Island Café, which has a wraparound balcony, revitalising dining choices, places for relaxing, dining, resting, and refreshing, as well as a play area and an observation telescope for watching seaplanes take off and land.

The Island Café is not just a refuge for newcomers. Due to the fact that seaplanes may only fly during daylight hours, late international departing passengers can now board the final flight from Landaa and wait in The Island Café until their international check-in gate opens.

Contact the Central Reservations Department team at (960) 66 00 888 or

reservations.mal@fourseasons.com to be one of the first to enjoy the Maldives' most luxurious arrival experience.
