Ducati and Bulgari Collaborate on a Stylish Sports Watch

Bulgari teamed with the iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati to create the Bulgari Aluminum Ducati Special Edition chronograph. This excellent sports watch is restricted to a run of one thousand units.

The cooperation with Bulgari is founded on a number of characteristics that we have in common, most notably the fact that it is another Italian company for whom design is much more than a business asset; it is a raison d'être. This project was motivated by the pursuit of lightness, obsessive attention to detail, the use of quality materials, and the construction of an unique and instantly identifiable design. Working on this project with Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, the Executive Director of Product Creation at Bulgari, who I've known for 15 years, allowed us to combine our two passions: motorcycles and luxury watches.
Andrea Ferraresi, Ducati Centro Stile Director

The Bulgari Aluminum Ducati Special Edition includes three subdials with a dynamic design inspired by the Ducati rev counter graphics: black backdrop, white indexes, and a red sphere. Additionally, the hour markers are influenced by the aesthetics of an Italian motorcycle company.

I had the pleasure of returning to the Ducati factory in Borgo Panigale, Italy, and spoke with Andrea Ferraresi about the numerous similarities between motorcycles and watches, our shared appreciation for the beauty of the mechanics, and the Italian approach to design. The Bulgari Aluminum model was a natural option for this particular partnership because to its blend of materials, athletic personality, and iconic design. The crimson hue and recognised script used for the dial's numbers are a reference to the enthralling world of Ducati motorcycles.

The watch is constructed from superior materials. Its 40 mm aluminium case boasts a black rubber bezel and band, while the crown and chronograph pushers are crafted from titanium. The chronograph is water-resistant to a depth of 100 metres, and the mechanical automatic BVL 130 movement, which oscillates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, provides accuracy to the nearest tenth of a second.

The titanium case back, treated with anti-wear DLC, is etched with the serial number. The watch has an anodized aluminium casing with a rubber inside and a soft-touch surface.

The Bulgari Aluminum Ducati Special Edition chronograph is now available for purchase in Bulgari boutiques, authorised merchants, and the brand's website.
