Digital Fashion Week New York (DFWNY) 2022 Commencing With Virtual Event To Unravel The Possibilities of Metaverse & Fashion

The much anticipated Digital Fashion Week New York - DFWNY will take place from 11th February to 13th February 2022 and will include a combination of virtual and physical runway presentations, exhibits, digital screenings, panel talks, and seminars, among other things.

The event, according to its organisers, was a "immersive fashion show in the decentralised metaverse that honours the originality, sustainability, and innovation of digital fashion and the professional designers that produce them."

Among the independent designers who will be in attendance are Adam Reid, Ilona Song, Majestic Apparel, Tokyo White, Edvard Nielsen, Shiu Studio, Yuly Boriskina, Calvin Padilla, Yemi (Quirky Couture), Metaneon (Miki Flores), Lorena Bello, Aisha, Yulya Belyakovich Mozart, An Nguyen, Erin McGarry, Tatiana Rozmoritsa, Yukat.

Clare Tattersall, the founder of DFWNY opined that the previous couple of years have taught the world the importance of pivoting and rethinking current procedures and goals. Additionally, he said that fashion innovation included developing new styles, defying tradition, and examining what our garments represent to us.

On the agenda this week are discussions on the future of fashion in the game business, an examination of where we are today and what the future may hold for digital fashion, and an investigation into the rising presence of non-traditional players (NFTs) in the industry.

Those who visit Digital Fashion Week New York 2022 will have the opportunity to participate in virtual catwalk shows, meet leading digital fashion designers, and purchase in their storefronts. 

Guests will also have the option to fly in a virtual hot air balloon and see a fashion display set to the beats of DJ Cherish the Luv, among other activities.
