Bugatti Chiron LEBE - Bugatti Honors Ettore's Daughter With A Special 24-Karat Decor Edition

The Chiron L'Ébé, named after Ettore Bugatti's daughter, was unveiled in June of 2022. The hand-built, high-performance sports car is really one-of-a-kind, with parts plated in 24-karat gold and distinctive Art Deco details. Only three of these one-of-a-kind super sports cars, one Chron and two Chiron Sport, will be made with a macaron in the design.

The new gold Macaron on the grille of the Chiron L'Ébé is the result of a five-year joint effort between Bugatti and the Bavarian minting and embossing company Poellath GmbH & Co. KG. 24-karat metal is seldom used in the manufacturing of automobiles since the finest 99.9 percent gold is soft, very valuable, and difficult to work with.

The solid 970 sterling silver sign often found on Chiron models was the inspiration for the gold Macaron, which was then nickel-plated. In this case, nickel serves as a corrosion barrier before a layer of gold is applied. The Macaron receives a gold coating of about three and four microns in thickness, which is subsequently polished. It takes more than 10 hours to finish the process since so much of it is done by hand.

Additionally, the Bugatti Chiron L'Ébé has a gold finish on the decorative trim around the front horseshoe, the "EB" emblem on the gas and oil cap, and the "EB" badge on the trunk lid. The "Blue Royal" carbon bodywork has a striking contrast with three gold lines running front to rear. The "Blue Royal" transparent carbon offers a streamlined, sporty look that is reminiscent of Ettore Bugatti's luxurious touring vehicles.

The company's designers were inspired by the 1937 Type 57 G Tank racing automobile, which triumphed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The iconic Bugatti 8.0-liter W16 engine is highlighted in these last Chiron models by a stunning gold finish on the engine lid. Furthermore, the words "L'Ébé" are written in gold on the underside of the rear wing.

Headrests are embroidered with the word "L'Ébé" on the inside. Each L'Ébé door panel has a black and white design sketch of the Chiron, Veyron 16.4, EB 110, Type 57 SC Atlantic, and Type 35 to celebrate Bugatti's more than 110 years in the automobile industry.

The 2016 Bugatti Chiron was the first mass-produced vehicle to provide 1,500 PS of power, creating a new subset of the super sports car market. New standards have been set in acceleration, top speed, handling, and convenience thanks to its 8.0-liter W16 quad-turbocharged engine, unique four-wheel-drive system, and lightweight chassis.

Several subsequent versions of the Bugatti hyper sports car, including the Chiron Sport, Chiron Pur Sport, and Chiron Super Sport, have been based on it.

The sale of these last three Bugatti Chiron L'Ébé in Europe marks the end of production for the Chiron and Chiron Sport. Delivery of the third model of the Chiron, the Chiron L'Ébé Sport, is expected by the end of June 2022.
