British Menswear Designer, Saul Nash Awarded The 2022 International Woolmark Prize

Saul Nash, a British menswear designer, has been named the 2022 International Woolmark Prize laureate.

Saul Nash, a London-based designer, was lauded for his innovative usage of Merino wool, which bridges the divide between active solutions and more formal needs.

"Everyone performed an outstanding job and deserved to win,"
Riccardo Tisci said.
"However, what Saul accomplished by switching from lycra to wool, coming from a ballet background, was really remarkable."

With a genuine feeling of discovery, this collection introduced Nash to the advantages of Merino wool in athletics, enabling him to explore materials that improved the quality of his designs without sacrificing their technical DNA. Saul Nash's innovative version of knitwear defies traditional notions about sportswear by emphasising mobility and performance.

"Words cannot express how much this means to me,"
Saul Nash remarked after the news.
"In such a short period of time, I am incredibly appreciative of what I have accomplished over the last eight months. This is really the icing on the cake of everything Woolmark has done for me."
