Bentley Reveals Bentayga X Concept at FAT Ice Race 2026, Signalling a New Era of Focused Off-Road Luxury

The Bentayga X Concept debuts in Zell am See as Bentley launches a multi-year partnership with FAT International.

Crewe, January 30, 2026

Bentley Motors has unveiled the striking Bentayga X Concept at the iconic FAT Ice Race in Zell am See, Austria. The debut marks both the global reveal of Bentley's most off-road-focused Bentayga concept to date and the beginning of a new multi-year brand partnership with FAT International.

Developed to stimulate feedback and explore the future potential of an even more capable Bentayga, the Bentayga X Concept reimagines Bentley's flagship SUV through a motorsport-inspired lens - bringing focused off-road performance without compromising the marque's hallmark luxury and refinement.

Exploring a Third Dimension of Bentayga Capability

The Bentayga range is already celebrated for its breadth of abilities. While the Bentayga Speed prioritises dynamic performance and outright pace, and the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase centres on rear-seat luxury and wellbeing, the Bentayga X Concept turns attention firmly towards enhanced off-road capability.

The concept is based on a Bentayga Speed, powered by a 650 PS 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, paired with permanent four-wheel drive and an eight-speed transmission. Advanced systems including air suspension and Bentley Dynamic Ride, the brand's 48V electric active anti-roll control, ensure control and composure across extreme terrain.

Purpose-Built Stance and Engineering Enhancements

Visually and mechanically, the Bentayga X Concept adopts a markedly more assertive stance:

  • Forged single-piece 22-inch wheels by Brixton, wrapped in large aspect ratio off-road tyres
  • Track width increased by 120 mm to enhance stability
  • Ride height raised by 55 mm to maximise suspension travel and ground clearance
  • Wheel arches extended outboard by 40 mm
  • Wading depth exceeding 550 mm
  • Ground clearance approaching 310 mm

These modifications transform the Bentayga's proportions while reinforcing its off-road credibility.

Functional Design for Extended Adventures

The exterior design remains deliberately purposeful. Roof-mounted storage and four auxiliary spotlights enable longer off-road expeditions, while the concept's cargo capabilities are demonstrated by an electric Bambino-size go-kart from the FAT Karting League mounted on the roof. With these additions, overall vehicle height reaches 2.49 metres.

At the rear, the titanium sports exhaust from Akrapovic remains a visual focal point, complemented by the addition of twin front towing eyes for increased recovery capability.

Bentley at FAT Ice Race - A Celebration of Automotive Culture

The FAT Ice Race is a celebration of automotive culture, uniting enthusiasts, collectors, and innovators through competitive racing and curated exhibitions. Bentley's prominent presence at Zell am See signals the beginning of a wider collaboration, with the brand also set to appear at the FAT Ice Race in Big Sky, Montana, later in February, followed by a 24-hour takeover of FAT Mankei in Austria later in the year.

Joining the Bentayga X Concept on ice and display are several of Bentley's most compelling models, including Travis Pastrana's uniquely liveried Supersports, showcased following its debut at Supersports: FULL SEND in Dubai, along with the newly announced Continental GTC S.

The Continental GT S Coupe will make its global dynamic debut on ice, supported by appearances from the Bentayga Speed and the Speed Six Continuations Series Car Zero from Mulliner.

Icons Behind the Wheel

Automotive broadcaster Chris Harris will pilot the Bentayga Speed during the Skijöring event, towing Norwegian freestyle skier Hedvig Wessel. The Continental GT S will be driven by French racing driver Laura Villars, while Bentley Heritage Collection head Mike Sayer will take the wheel of the Speed Six.

FAT International - From Motorsport Legacy to Grassroots Revolution

FAT International's origins trace back to motorsport sponsorships in the 1990s, most notably its 1994 overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Dauer 962 LM. Today, FAT International operates at the intersection of culture, fashion, and motorsport, creating immersive experiences such as the FAT Ice Race and FAT Mankei.

Through initiatives like the FAT Karting League, which features electric karts built with F1-level precision on Birel chassis, the organisation aims to redefine grassroots racing by building a global, inclusive motorsport community. This aligns perfectly with Bentley's vision for the future of luxury mobility and innovative brand collaborations.
