Balenciaga, The Paris-Based Luxury Fashion House, Opens a Shop in McLean, Northern Virginia's Tysons Galleria

Balenciaga, the worldwide luxury fashion label, just opened its first shop in Virginia and the Washington, D.C. region at Tysons Galleria.

The shop, which is located on the second level of the mall next to Saks Fifth Avenue, is 133 square metres (1,431 square feet) in size and will offer the brand's ready-to-wear garments as well as bags, shoes, eyeglasses, and accessories.

Balenciaga was created in 1937 in Paris, France, by Spanish designer Cristóbal Balenciaga. His art was characterised by clean lines and full silhouettes, which served as inspiration for Paul Thomas Anderson's film "Phantom Thread."

The firm presently maintains 100 locations worldwide, including 30 in the United States and around 70 internationally.

Balenciaga joins Rodd & Gunn, a New Zealand-based apparel boutique that seems to have opened with Kate Spade, and Empanadas De Mendoza as the most recent additions to Tysons Galleria.
