ADAVI by Archana Jaju is an Exquisite Collection of Kalamkari Ephemeral Wear Showcasing India's Abundant Forest Life

Archana Jaju's most recent collection, Adavi, is comprised of hand-spun chanderi, Chanderi organza, and Chanderi silks woven in light weights. The collection commemorates the comfort of life in contemporary India with fluid silhouettes suitable for everything from business meetings to after-work social gatherings.

Archana Jaju's fall/winter '23 collection revisits the traditional art of kalamkari using 23 stages to hand-drawn motifs inspired by the enchantment of India's forests and the language of natural colours and vegetable dyes against a pastel colour palette. Each piece in the collection is created by softening the fabric, hand-drawing the stories, and soaking the fabric in the sun's purifying energy. This handiwork renders each piece in the collection unrepeatable and thus one-of-a-kind.

Adavi is a prayer in craft for the ecological diversity of India, where forests thrive and rivers overflow with birds in the heavens, fish in the waters, big animals prowling, and trees that cheerfully murmur tales of centuries past among themselves.

Adavi offers women of all ages ensemble sets, dresses, and jackets adorned with kalamkari artwork and scintillating details. Like its inspiration, the collection is timeless.
